This morning Capitol Hill Housing learned that our newest project, 12th Avenue Arts, has been selected as a national finalist for support from ArtPlace, an unprecedented private-public collaboration that supports creative placemaking across the country.
12th Avenue Arts was among 104 finalists chosen for their potential to have a transformative impact on community vibrancy. We are in proud and creative company, as the projects on the list of finalists run the gamut from temporary art spaces to permanent performance venues, from music festivals to art walks and from streetscaping to artist residencies.
We will keep our fingers crossed that 12th Avenue Arts is selected for funding in the final round. Until then, CHH are delighted to have our work recognized by this national thought leader, and we know that it will bring even more attention to this thrilling new project.
